Will duct tape ruin clothes?

Tomorrow at school, our dress up day is to cover ourselves in duct tape (the theme is "stick it to the rebels", and rebels is the rival school's mascot). I REALLY wanna do it just because I'm weird like that, but: Will I be able to get it off, and if so, will it ruin my clothes when I do? I need to know because I'm not sure if I have anything to wear that I can mess up.
